Eligible employees participate in the generous benefits program provided to State of Washington employees. Here's a brief summary of the insurance and retirement benefits:

Insurance

Employees and their families are covered by medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as basic life and long-term disability insurance plans. Additional insurance coverage is available at special group rates.

Retirement

State employees have an excellent retirement plan, which includes a significant employer contribution rate. In addition, the state offers a Deferred Compensation program for tax-deferred retirement investment.
