1. The student uses the language of Hot Metals to communicate ideas and information

• 1. Demonstrate sketching techniques
• 2. Demonstrate lettering and numbering skills
• 3. Demonstrate the use of the alphabet of lines

2. The student will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to perform effectively in the technical drawing and architectural drafting media.

• 1. Create multi-view drawings
• 2. Draw basic architectural plans
• 3. Draw in proportion and to scale

3. The student will apply the creative process with drafting knowledge and skills to reason and solve problems

• 1. Use appropriate drafting vocabulary as it is related to drafting tools, techniques, and materials
• 2. Solve complex multi-view problems

4. The student will understand career opportunities, related subjects, and how working with Hot Metals relates to other job fields

• 1. Demonstrate basic math skills as utilized in the layout and dimensioning process
• 2. Demonstrate an awareness of the vocational opportunities associated with drafting
• 3. Demonstrate an awareness of how architectural techniques relate to home development
