Sixth Grade Learning Expectations

Essential Learning 1: The student understands and applies the concepts and procedures of math.

Math Skill 1.5.1: creates, analyzes and extends number patterns that involve a combination of one or two operations

Definition of math skill:

Understand - show ability to set up and solve problems using letters that represent unknown numbers (variables).

Algebraic Concepts - problems where arithmetic relations are explored using letter symbols to represent numbers.
