Essential Learning 1: The student understands and uses different skills and strategies to read.

Reading Skill 1.5.2: Uses complex organizational features of printed text (titles, headings, tables of contents, indexes, glossaries, prefaces, appendices, captions, citations, endnotes, etc.)

Graphic Organizers, SQ3R, Think Aloud

Assessment:

Golden Questions, Anecdotal Records, Checklists
