Do At Home Reading K-2 - Fact and Fiction
Read a fact book and a fiction book about a topic or idea. Compare the way the books are written.
Locate the fact and fiction sections in the library and notice how they are organized.
Read books by Gail Gibbons and Leo Lionni. Identify which author is factual and which is fiction.
Ask the children's librarian for authors of factual books. Read and list all of that author's books. (e.g. Lois Elhert,Tana Hoban, etc.)
