Kindergarten Learning Expectations

The learning expectations listed below are for kindergarten. Students will be assessed based on their progress toward meeting these grade-level expectations.

Health Expectations

1. The student acquires the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a healthy life: recognizes patterns of growth and development, reduces health risks, and lives safely.

• 1.1 Identifies the role food plays in helping the body grow
• 1.2 Understands the importance of personal hygiene in maintaining good health
• 1.3 Develops knowledge about tobacco and drug use/abuse Understands ways to make decisions
